Hi! I’m Jared. Alyssa and I have been working together since I was in college at the University of Michigan, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Art has always been important to me - I’ve dabbled in music since I was a kid and got my start with photography through photojournalism in high school. Today I am a proud resident of Ypsilanti, Michigan, where I live with my partner Jess, brother-in-law Rick and our two pit mixes: Mars and August. During the week I’m a field engineer for a startup in Ann Arbor that builds and operates self-driving, electric shuttles both in Michigan and beyond. I love all things mechanical and industrial, whether it’s airports, old factories, or classic cars, but I also have an appreciation for the fine and natural things. Because of my background in journalistic photography I like to think I’m particularly good at capturing the moments in between - the candid, priceless reactions of our couples and their friends and loved-ones. I’m excited for every new chance to capture life through the camera lens, and am humbled at the opportunity to share the emotion of what will likely one of the best days of your lives.
