Tips on What to Wear

Always Wear something that fits who you are

You want to feel confident when doing your photos and we want you to look back on these photos feeling like these are the best version of you! I recommend no more than 2-3 outfits just keep in mind that changing outfits can cut into shooting time it just takes time to find a spot to change each time.

Wear a color Pallette

Wearing the same exact colored tops can tend to look like a giant color blob. You want contrast in your photos. But you also don’t want a super busy pattern craze so it’s great to have some family in solid colors and some in patterns. If you go with warm tones stick with warm tones and if you go in cool tones stick in cool for the whole family. Pinterest and the internet have great ideas for color pallete ideas for families if you get stuck.

Dress for the weather

Don’t bring a summer dress to a fall session or wear shorts. You will be miserable and cold and it will look odd. A great way to have variety in an outfit is to bring scarfs and jackets it’s an easy way to get variety without changing in and out of an entire outfit!
